Devil's Glen Provincial Park and Nottawasaga Bluff Lookout
Great lookouts for the fall colour of the leaves!

Devil's Glen Provincial Park
There is no admission fee to the park and also the parking inside the lot is free but of limit—only 5 to 6 vehicles can be parked. There are more visitors’ cars than those spots, so it is also okay to par along the street. The entrance trail is not very nice and clean, but the lookout spot is amazing. I expected that the trail is quite long to get to the lookout so that I could get my excitement to wait to see it for a bit longer. But it is shorter than I expected for the walk to get to the boardwalk and a short stair to get to the edge of the lookout. It is breath-taking to arrive there with fresh air and the beautiful color of fall leaves in front of you. This is a great spot for taking beautiful pictures of the various changing color leaves on the mountain in front of you. When I was walking back, I saw another trail which leads us down the hill. But, it is not a very accommodating trail and there are also old and dead trees which is not ideal for kids. The walking path is also a bit steep and might be challenging for a young kid. I have a six-year-old girl with me and she found it is hard to continue, then we decided to return back and called it a day there!
We decided to continue our trip to another park/lookout nearby during the day since we still had some time to explore the area before going back home. We chose to go to Nottawasaga Bluff Lookout, just only 12 minutes drive from Devil’s Glen.
Nottawasaga Bluff Lookout
The admission is free and there are parking spots available but could fit only 5 to 6 cars. The rest of the vehicles could be parked along the street. There are two trails—the main trail and the Bruce trail. The trails are kind of clearly marked if you follow the signs. The good thing is that there are not many bugs around when I was there which was really pleasant for our walk. This trail is sort of on the hill so the view is so amazing to encounter such marvellous shaped rocks on your ways. The hike is moderate and good for a family with kid (5 or 6 years old).
The time that I went there is at the end of September and the weather is still really nice to enjoy (not too hot and not too cold) but you could still see the foliage. There is no water or lake that you will encounter during your walk, but there is a nice trail along the edge of the bluff/hill which is full of trees, leaves, and rocks. Also, it is even more amazed to get down the caves on the side of the hill and explore another small trail in the caves. From the main entrance trail, after walking for a while there are two separate ways along the bluff. I took the right trail but it was too long that I had to return back; and if you chose to continue to the other side of the trail on the edge of the bluff, it would also lead you to the parking lot—the trail is in a loop and combines the shortcut trail where you can get back to the main entrance sooner without turning back. It is a great walking distance trail for an afternoon or morning stroll.
