This place is a short stop for a family trip if you get down there by any chance. There is also a parking space with a few cars that can fit in. Nearby the lot, there is also a beautiful view of water front and houses with boats and docks on the other side. The water is crystal clear which you can see the bottom of the river whether it is on a sunny day or not. There is also a railroad bridge across the river nearby the parking space; sometimes, you could encounter a train full of loads passing by. It is fun to watch and count all the load and containers it carried but it is quite loud. I keep wondering how far I could take a hike to see the falls. But actually, the falls are right there near the parking lot.
It is a bridge with dam and water that flows slowly and a bit fast in the middle over a colourful and painted rocks– it is just so beautiful. It is also breath-taking to walk across the bridge, take some photos and enjoy admiring the rocks. But you must be a bit careful too, since there are also cars passing by. There is a small information board telling a short story about the Falls. There was first settled by a man named Thomas Burgess in 1868 by opening the first sawmill to help other settlers around the area. The fall is quite stunning because of the rocks underneath and if we take a bit of a walk, there is a short trail to the closer look of the fall. It is worth of a visit to see the history of the fall and the dam.
