Beautiful Playground
Along with this area and trail, it always leads us to a couple beautiful playgrounds, like this one in the photo. It is kind of new and clean and it is equipped with a lot of kid friendly equipments (balancing, and climbing, etc.) to play with as well as some puzzle math challenges for them to explore and learn while they are playing. More than that, they also have exercise equipments for adults to try while their kids are playing. My kid really enjoyed this playground!
Historical Site
Can you believe that? You always could learn or find more new things or historical treasures along your hike, like this one in the picture above. This is New Market Radial Railway Arch, which is one of the earliest created in Canada. This Arch was built in 1909 by the Toronto and York Radial Railway company. If you want to see it, please come visit the area because it has an information board near the Arch to read and learn.
Clean and Nice Trail
I can say that this trail is good for all kinds of weather including on snowy day in the winter and on the rainy day in spring. For example, the day that I went there was early spring and it was drizzling but the trail was not muddy and was still easy to walk on. And it is also near the town that you could walk across and there are also bridges (we can walk on and under those bridges like the Keith Bridge) and some other art designs along the trail as well. Also, please note that there is a connection between the bike trail (Nokiidaa trail and Tom Taylor trails together which makes it a long trail to explore).
Wooden Animal Art
It is very interesting to explore and learn more about the old beliefs and the legacy relating to the animals that you could encounter along the trail, like an owl, a crane, and a beaver, etc. I believe the animals statues were carved by hands and they look so real and beautiful.
Holland River
This is the video of the Holland River at different sections of the trail.
